Today we are featuring Tess and her essential oil and massage business - Safe Healthy Happy which aims to support women to use essential oils in pregnancy to support their bodies to deal with these stresses of pregnancy.
Check out our Facebook Live interview with Tess! She will tell you more about her business and expertise and a bit about herself!
I am based in Stamford Bridge and work part-time as a Health Visitor locally.
My passion is to empower people to take charge of their health and that of their family’s. I work with doTerra essential oils and love to run workshops or simply support women to use essential oils in pregnancy to support their bodies to deal with these stresses of pregnancy and also how they can then use them to support them through labour. The emphasis is very much on education, support and community. An aspect I particularly enjoy is supporting people who would also like to share the oils with others and would like to develop it as a business. It is a great way to attract your tribe, who also want to use natural products to support their family.
My favourite product is probably an oil blend called Balance which is the grounding blend, it is really calming and supports you when you need that extra relaxation,, have anxious feelings and is a great way to start the day.
During these difficult times all classes have gone online and this has been challenging as you really need to be able to smell the oils to fully appreciate how these oils are different from the mainstream. Their purity is unique and unsurpassed. However we get around this by sending samples out to people so they can try before they buy. I use zoom quite a lot and keep connected with customers and those building the business through messenger and whatsapp.
I can also do baby massage classes, demonstrate hand massage and other relaxation techniques using the essential oils, and also do the superbly relaxing aromatouch technique massage. There is also information on how to use the oils with your family from birth onwards in a way that is safe, healthy and will hopefully keep you happy.
I am a mother of 4 and use the oils with all of them although they are almost all grown as my youngest now is 17yrs (eeek), so they all have their own accounts. I also love crafty things like spinning wool, knitting and sewing. We moved down to Yorkshire from Scotland 18 months ago because we had so many friends down here and my eldest had already moved to York. The separation from family in Scotland during lockdown has been hard, but I am sitting writing this in my Mum’s house in Scotland and we are staycationing here this week. I have loved walking in the country and eating out in lovely local restaurants. Something I also love to do in Yorkshire, discovering new villages and places of beauty to spend time in.
